The D. Pharm program is a career-focused course in pharmaceutical sciences, which can also facilitate lateral entry into the second year of a B. Pharm program. It provides students with a strong foundation in pharmaceutical science, equipping them with the essential skills and academic knowledge required for roles in retail pharmacies and pharmaceutical companies.

This D. Pharm degree emphasizes key aspects of the medical field, including drug formulation, dispensing, and proper medication use. After completing the program, candidates can opt for B. Pharm, B. Pharm (Lateral Entry), or Pharm. D for further advancement in the field.

Diploma in Pharmacy course deals with the study of –

  1. Accurate and safe processing of prescriptions
  2. Effective verbal and written communication
  3. Inventory control
  4. Pharmacy software practice
  5. Accurate and confidential record keeping
  6. Compounding techniques
  7. Third-party billing
  8. Adherence to relevant legislation

D. Pharm is a Diploma degree that is offered for a duration of 2 years. The intake capacity of our D. Pharm stream is 60 candidates.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Passed Higher Secondary (10+2) or its equivalent examination in General Stream Course with Physics, Chemistry & Biology, or Mathematics from any recognized Board/Council / Institute.
  • Candidates who passed the Higher Secondary (10+2) examination or equivalent examinations in Vocational Stream Courses are not eligible for admission to the Diploma in Pharmacy course, as per the prescribed admission eligibility criteria of the Pharmacy Council of India.
