Our Pharmacognosy Laboratory is dedicated to the scientific study of medicinal plants and natural products. The lab is equipped with facilities for microscopic examination, extraction, isolation, and phytochemical analysis of crude drugs. Students work with modern tools such as microscopes, Soxhlet extractors, macerators, and TLC apparatus to identify, evaluate, and analyze plant-derived materials. Through hands-on training, students learn the principles of crude drug authentication, standardization, and quality control, along with the preparation of herbal formulations. The lab serves as a bridge between traditional knowledge and modern scientific validation, fostering skills essential for careers in herbal drug research, quality assurance, and the natural products industry.
